Educational Manifestations, Multi-Grade

Our Process

The Education Village is a cornerstone facility in the heart of Colusa County.   Children’s Support Services focused on early childhood education, Special Education programs and administration, and the 8-12 Community School are all located on this 14 acre site. The campus provides recreational and meeting facilities to the adjacent community college, the Williams community, and the greater Colusa County area. Drawing inspiration from the surrounding farm architecture, the campus is designed as a village of houses or large farmstead. Each ‘house’ serves the specific needs of its department, while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic throughout the campus. Qualified for CHPS certification, the campus incorporates several sustainable strategies – a detention pond, displacement ventilation, energy management, day-lighting controls, use of renewable materials, construction recycling, and provision of public transportation access.
